The 'Upasana Charitable Trust' has been formed by the alumni of Sir `Sayajirao Diamond Jubilee Boys Hostel’, where the alumni had stayed during the period from 1968 to 1990.While cherishing the memories of their stay in the hostel at Vadodara, where all the facilities including stay, food, college fees, books and even clothes were provided free of charge, the alumni evoked some serious thoughts.
Driven by sense of Gratitude, our mission is to provide Free Food and Hostel Accommodation facility to the brilliant students belonging to underprivileged and low-income group families so that they can fulfill their dream of studying in world famous “The M S University of BARODA”, and also to transform them into better citizens with high moral values.
Extending the helping hand to those who have higher goals of best education and bright carrier, but can not make it themselves just because of poor economic condition
Emphasis is on not only higher academic goal, but also on all round development of a student so as to shape their future as a better citizen of India..
Build and expand the Team of dedicated Diamonds, who are highly motivated and whose hearts are filled with sense of gratitude and are ready to carry forward the concept of “Jyot Se Jyot Jale” and “Tera Tuzko Arpan” to still higher level .
To provide a bigger platform for old Diamond Jubilee Hostel Alumni to re-connect with the old friends with whom they have spent some golden years during college education and cherish the sweet memories.
Friends, ponder over for a while and you will have answers from within. After parental support, it was “Sir Sayajirao Diamond Jubilee Trust” which provided us shelter and paved the way for our academic career from the M .S. University of Baroda. The strict norms of hostel made us self disciplined and self-reliant. It built character is us and taught us lessons of life. `what we are to day’ can largely be attributed to our stay in Diamond Jubilee Hostel.
